What background was most represented in Madison County schools in 2021-2022 school year?

Of the 16,061 students enrolled in Madison County schools in 2021-2022, 50.2% were White, according to the Mississippi Department of Education. This was the most represented ethnicity among Madison County students.

This is an 11% increase over the previous school year.

Germantown High School had the highest enrollment of White students in the 2021-2022 school year.

A snapshot of Madison County schools showed 50.2% students were White and 5.1% were Asian.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly one decade.
