25.6% of households in Lake received food stamps in 2020

Lake ranked 95th in Mississippi for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 44 Lake households (25.6 percent) who received food stamps. Lake's population was 507 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Falcon, which had 55 of 71 households receiving food stamps, 51.9 percent more than Lake. In 2020 the population of Falcon was 165.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Nellieburg, which had four of 425 households receiving food stamps, 24.7 percent less than Lake. In 2020 the population of Nellieburg was 1,297.
