Rankin County Planning Commission to consider permits and public hearings on February 26

The Rankin County Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place at 211 East Government Street in Brandon, Mississippi.

On the agenda is the approval of the minutes from the January 29, 2026 meeting. The commission will address both old and new business items. Among new considerations are several requests for conditional use permits and variances:

– Kimberly Hobson has applied for a conditional use permit for property on Grants Ferry Road in District 2.
– Scotty Bridges is seeking a dimensional variance for property on Buckshadow Lane in District 5.
– Pinelake Church, Inc. has requested a conditional use permit for its location at 1572 Highway 471 in District 4.
– Wayne Stafford has submitted a request for a conditional use permit at 1601 Highway 469 in District 3.
– Ravinderjit Singh is requesting rezoning for property at Highway 25 and Mt. Helm in District 2.

Public hearings are scheduled to be set during this meeting. Hearings for Kimberly Hobson, Scotty Bridges, and Pinelake Church are proposed for Monday, March 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Hearings for Wayne Stafford and Ravinderjit Singh are planned for Monday, March 16, 2026, also at 9:00 a.m.

The commission will review site plans and architectural submissions from J-Worth Holdings, Inc., regarding their project on Highway 43 North in District 4.

A nuisance property hearing concerning Carly & Brandon Moore’s property at 124 Tiffany Circle (District 4) is also included on the agenda.

The next scheduled meeting of the Rankin County Planning Commission is set for April 2, 2026, at the same time and location.
