Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to comment on legislative progress and border security. Guest has held this seat since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper.
On January 24, 2026, Guest posted a message of appreciation to Congressional leadership: “Thank you to Speaker Johnson and Chairman Cole for their hard work to pass all 12 appropriations bills for Fiscal Year 2026.”
Later that day, he emphasized his role as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border Security, stating: “As the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border Security, I want to continue highlighting some of the dangerous individuals captured by the Department of Homeland Security. It is important that we not lose sight of the work our men and women in law enforcement are doing to keep our” (posted January 24, 2026).

Guest was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon. He holds degrees from Mississippi State University (BS) and the University of Mississippi (JD), earned in 1993 and 1995 respectively.
