Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media highlighting his engagement with local law enforcement, advocacy for seniors, and support for student artists.
On February 11, 2026, Guest posted about a staff visit with Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones. He wrote, “Jimmie Nichols on my staff enjoyed visiting with Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones. In addition to his duties as Sheriff, Tyree is also serving as interim chief of the Jackson Police Department. Later that evening, Guest acknowledged a meeting with Andy Mangione from the Association for Mature American Citizens. On February 11, he stated, “Thank you to Andy Mangione of the Association for Mature American Citizens for stopping by my office last week. Guest has served as U.S. Representative since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper and has focused on issues relevant to both local communities and national policy initiatives during his tenure. Born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and now residing in Brandon, Guest holds degrees from Mississippi State University (BS) and the University of Mississippi (JD).
