Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared a series of posts addressing legislative initiatives and community engagement.
On February 17, 2026, Guest posted about his support for legislation commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks: “9/11 was a day that many of us will remember forever. In memory of those who died that horrible day, I am cosponsoring legislation that would recognize 25 years since the terrorist attack on our nation.”
Later that same day, he highlighted local economic development efforts: “Brady Stewart attended the Madison County Business League quarterly meeting and met with Jan Collins and Bill Hardin. Madison County has experienced tremendous success in recruiting and retaining businesses to the metro area. I appreciate the role that the Madison County”
On February 18, Guest addressed federal language regarding motherhood: “Motherhood is unique only to women. I am co-sponsoring legislation that would officially ban the term “birthing-person” from official federal documents. Only females can give birth, and we must acknowledge that in our federal statutes.”
Guest has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper as representative for Mississippi’s 3rd District. Born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970, he currently resides in Brandon at age 53. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi two years later.
