On July 3, 2025, Congressman Guest highlighted the House Republicans’ Budget Reconciliation Bill’s role in providing resources to ICE and CBP. He stated that it aims to “fulfill Trump’s promise to secure our borders and ensure that they remain secure.”
Later the same day, he expressed gratitude towards former President Trump for his contributions to recent economic legislation passed by Republicans. In a post made at 19:01 UTC on July 3, he remarked that the legislation would “grow and strengthen our economy,” crediting Trump with delivering on promises made to Americans.

Michael Guest graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and later obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi in 1995. His career has seen him succeed Gregg Harper as representative for Mississippi’s 3rd District.
