Congressman Michael Guest, who has represented Mississippi’s 3rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared his views on significant legislative developments via social media. Guest, born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently residing in Brandon, has been active in political discourse concerning budget reconciliation and economic legislation.

On July 3, 2025, Congressman Guest highlighted the House Republicans’ Budget Reconciliation Bill’s role in providing resources to ICE and CBP. He stated that it aims to “fulfill Trump’s promise to secure our borders and ensure that they remain secure.”

Later the same day, he expressed gratitude towards former President Trump for his contributions to recent economic legislation passed by Republicans. In a post made at 19:01 UTC on July 3, he remarked that the legislation would “grow and strengthen our economy,” crediting Trump with delivering on promises made to Americans.

In another tweet posted at 21:01 UTC on July 3, Congressman Guest acknowledged an unnamed governor for their efforts and expressed pride in being part of what he described as a “historic process.”

Michael Guest graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 and later obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi in 1995. His career has seen him succeed Gregg Harper as representative for Mississippi’s 3rd District.
