There were three gas stations in cities across Madison County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.21 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 14, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of regular gas across the county was $2.51 per gallon.
Of the 70 reported gas stations located within Madison County, 24 offered regular gas.
The statewide average price of regular gas in Mississippi was $2.42 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 14, an increase from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
