Jackson State falls 7-1 to UNC Asheville; Darius Dampier pitches 1.1 innings

Former Mendenhall High School standout Darius Dampier and his Jackson State Tigers team took a 7-1 loss to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup Saturday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m.

The contest was held at Braddy Field and marked their second game against the Bulldogs this season. Jackson State dropped the earlier matchup as well, with a 14-8 defeat on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Dampier appeared on the mound for 1.1 innings.

Jackson State will face UNC Asheville Bulldogs again Sunday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Braddy Field.
