On Sunday, June 1, former Northwest Rankin High School standout Nick Monistere’s current collegiate team the Southern Miss Golden Eagles lost 17-6 against the Miami Hurricanes in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Pete Taylor Park at 7 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Miami Hurricanes in the tournament.

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles’ next game will take place on Monday, June 2 at 9 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park.
