The Delta State Statesmen, featuring former Northwest Rankin High School standout Ryan Herbison, were defeated 10-2 by the Henderson State Reddies in an NCAA Division II baseball contest held Tuesday, March 3, at 5 p.m.
Clyde Berry Field hosted the season’s first meeting between these teams.
Herbison pitched one inning, surrendering two earned runs.
Up next, the Statesmen are set to face the Christian Brothers Buccaneers on Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m. at Harvey Stadium at Ferriss Field.
