Delta State’s baseball team, featuring former Northwest Rankin High School standout Ryan Herbison, suffered a 10-8 loss to the West Florida Argonauts in NCAA Division II action on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
The contest was held at Harvey Stadium at Ferriss Field and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. Delta State edged out West Florida, 2-1, in the previous matchup played Friday, Feb. 27.
Herbison pitched 1.2 innings, surrendering two earned runs while tallying one walk and two strikeouts.
The Statesmen are set to face the Argonauts again on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 4 p.m. at Harvey Stadium at Ferriss Field.
