Delta State Statesmen, featuring former Northwest Rankin High School standout Ryan Herbison, fell 2-1 to the Valdosta State Blazers in an NCAA Division II baseball matchup at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
The contest was held at Billy Grant Field and marked their first encounter with the Blazers this season.
Over two innings, Herbison allowed one earned run, issued one walk and tallied one strikeout.
The Statesmen are set to face Valdosta State Blazers again at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13, also at Billy Grant Field.
