Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on March 16, 2026, to address several political topics and thank former President Donald Trump.

In a post made at 18:42 UTC, Guest called for an end to the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, stating: “Democrats must end the Department of Homeland Security government shutdown. It’s time to fully fund the DHS and pay FEMA.”

Later that evening at 20:14 UTC, he posted a message expressing gratitude to former President Trump: “Thank you, President Trump.”

At 20:21 UTC on the same day, Guest encouraged followers to listen for updates on international affairs and his congressional activities: “Please tune in to hear more about Iran, the Ethics Committee, and my work in D.C.”

Michael Guest has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper. He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon. Guest holds a Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University (1993) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi (1995).
