Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, shared a series of personal and professional updates on his social media account in early January 2026.

On January 6, Guest expressed condolences over the passing of a fellow legislator, stating, “Haley and I are saddened to hear of the death of Congressman Doug LaMalfa from California. I was honored to serve with him in the House. Please join Haley and me in prayer for his family during this time.”

Two days later, on January 8, Guest highlighted a friendly rivalry ahead of a major college football game. He posted, “From teammates on @HomelandGOP to rivals tonight, @RepCarlos will be cheering on his Miami Hurricanes while I join our state in support of our @OleMissFB. Good luck tonight in the Fiesta Bowl, and bring home a win for the people of Mississippi.

That same day he followed up with another message supporting Ole Miss: “#hottytoddy https://t.co/vx6VJQc9U3”

Guest has represented Mississippi’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper. He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University (1993) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi (1995).
