Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives, shared a series of personal and professional updates on his social media account in early January 2026.
On January 6, Guest expressed condolences over the passing of a fellow legislator, stating, “Haley and I are saddened to hear of the death of Congressman Doug LaMalfa from California. I was honored to serve with him in the House. Please join Haley and me in prayer for his family during this time.”
Two days later, on January 8, Guest highlighted a friendly rivalry ahead of a major college football game. Guest has represented Mississippi’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper. He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University (1993) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi (1995).
