Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, marked recent national commemorations with a series of posts on his social media account. On November 10 and 11, 2025, Guest published messages recognizing the United States Marines’ birthday and Veterans Day, as well as honoring local military service.
On November 10, Guest acknowledged the founding anniversary of the Marine Corps: “Today is the birthday of the United States Marines. Founded in 1775, the Marines have fought for and defended our freedom since the Revolutionary War. Thank you to all Marines for your service to our great nation.”
The following day, he referenced his role in Congress regarding veterans: “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize and honor our Veterans. I am thankful for all who have served.” Later that same day, he attended a community event: “I was honored to attend the Brandon Veterans Day Breakfast, as the city remembered the service of Brandon native Louis Wilson. General Wilson served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam and was also a Medal of Honor recipient.”
Michael Guest has been serving in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Gregg Harper as representative for Mississippi’s 3rd district. He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon.
