Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media this week highlighting his recent engagements and reflections.
On February 14, Guest wrote about meeting with Special Olympics advocates and an athlete named James Martin while in Washington. He stated, “This week, I had an opportunity to meet with Special Olympics advocates and Special Olympic athlete James Martin while they were in Washington. I am thankful for everyone who works hard giving these athletes an opportunity to compete. I am extremely proud of the success of James” (February 14, 2026).
The following day, Guest shared a post containing only a link: “https://t.co/V4bH4Vf2Us” (February 15, 2026).
On February 16, he marked Presidents Day by recognizing past leaders of the United States. In his message he said, “Today, we celebrate our Presidents from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump. I am thankful for the leadership of those who have gone before us. Let us take a moment to remember and honor the leaders who have made our nation” (February 16, 2026).
Michael Guest has served as the representative for Mississippi’s 3rd District since replacing Gregg Harper in 2019. Born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently residing in Brandon at age 53, Guest graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 before earning his law degree from the University of Mississippi two years later.
