Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account between March 27 and March 28, 2026.

On March 27, Guest shared a historical note in honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence. He wrote: “Fun Fact Friday: As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence, I want to highlight some of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Later that day, Guest expressed appreciation for local officials from Kemper County visiting his Washington office. He stated: “Thank you to the elected officials of Kemper County for stopping by my D.C. office this week. I was glad to visit with these leaders about ways that my team and I can work with them to help fund infrastructure investment and grow the economy of Kemper County. https://t.co/NnXa8vwYob”.

On March 28, Guest addressed border security issues in his capacity as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement. He wrote: “As the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement, I want to highlight some of the dangerous individuals captured by the Department of Homeland Security. Michael Guest has served in Congress since replacing Gregg Harper in 2019 and continues to represent Mississippi’s 3rd District. Born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970, Guest resides in Brandon, Mississippi at age 53. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree before earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi.
