Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight local engagement and historical reflection in a series of posts between March 13 and March 14, 2026.
On March 13, Guest noted the involvement of his Chief of Staff with a statewide professional group: “My Chief of Staff Jordan Downs was honored to meet with the Mississippi Bankers Association (MBA). Since 1889, the MBA has served bankers across our state. I’m thankful for the services our financial institutions provide the people of Mississippi.”
Later that day, Guest shared an educational post commemorating a significant milestone in American history: “Fun Fact Friday: As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence, I want to highlight some of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Stone was a lawyer from Maryland who was elected to serve in the Continental Congress. Thomas, like the other”
The following day, on March 14, Guest addressed public safety concerns within his home state: “This week, I want to highlight some of the dangerous individuals captured by the Department of Homeland Security in our own state of Mississippi. It is important that we not lose sight of the work our men and women in law enforcement are doing to keep our communities safe.”
Guest has represented Mississippi’s 3rd District since replacing Gregg Harper in 2019. He was born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently resides in Brandon. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and earned his law degree from the University of Mississippi.
