Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media regarding his staff’s community engagement, legislative efforts honoring law enforcement, and a major economic development project in East Mississippi.
On May 14, 2026, Guest posted about his staff meeting with a local business leader: “My staff had the opportunity to visit with Mike Lowery while he was in D.C. Mike is the manager of the Walmart in Columbia, MS. I’m grateful for the impact Mike and his team members have on their community.”
The following day, Guest highlighted bipartisan efforts to honor fallen police officers during National Police Week: “I am honored to be joined by Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) and Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) who led H.Res.1252 to honor and memorialize fallen law enforcement officers. The resolution, passed during National Police Week, recognizes the 363 officers who lost their lives” (May 15, 2026).
Later that same day, Guest announced a significant investment coming to Lauderdale County and East Mississippi: “I am proud to represent Lauderdale County and East Mississippi, which will soon be home to a state-of-the-art data center. Compass Datacenters is investing $10 billion in Meridian, creating jobs and growing the digital infrastructure. Thank you to Compass Datacenters CEO Chris” (May 15, 2026).
