Congressman Michael Guest, who represents Mississippi’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his official X account regarding his activities and congressional work.

On February 4, 2026, Guest expressed appreciation for local leaders during a visit to Meridian and Marion. He wrote, “Thank you to the City of Meridian, Mayor Bland, and Mayor Gill for having me last week. I enjoyed connecting with local community leaders and learning more about how my work in Congress can continue to make Meridian and Marion great places to live, worship, and raise a family.”

Later that day, Guest commented on recent impeachment discussions in Congress. He stated on February 4, 2026: “Two years ago, Republicans conducted a very thorough investigation, and we impeached Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for failure to perform his duties. Should we be surprised that now we are seeing Democrats announcing they will seek to impeach the current Homeland Security”

In another post from February 4, 2026, Guest highlighted staff involvement at a local government meeting: “This week Chad Dixon on my staff attended the Covington County Board of Supervisors meeting. Chad highlighted some of the projects we were able to include in the appropriations package. These projects include funding for a new emergency operations center that will help better”

Guest has served as the representative for Mississippi’s 3rd District since replacing Gregg Harper in 2019. Born in Woodbury, New Jersey in 1970 and currently residing in Brandon at age 53, he holds degrees from Mississippi State University (BS) and the University of Mississippi (JD).
