Auburn Montgomery tops Mississippi Choctaws 7-5 in Division II baseball matchup

On Saturday, March 7, at 4 p.m., Brice Ainsworth, a former Northwest Rankin High School standout, contributed to the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks’ 7-5 NCAA Division II victory over the Mississippi Choctaws.

The matchup was held at the AUM Baseball Complex and marked the third meeting this season between the teams. Earlier that same day, the Warhawks dropped their game to the Choctaws 9-3.

Ainsworth tallied two hits in three at-bats, scored one run, drove in three and struck out once.

The Warhawks are set to play again Tuesday, March 10, at 5 p.m. at Bob Stein Stadium against the North Georgia Nighthawks.
